Hannah’s classmates don’t like her very much. When they sit next to her with their coffee, she looks scared. Every time they open a snack, she fidgets. Somebody dropped a crumb on her once and she jumped up and moved to the end of the row.
Keysha says, “Hannah’s such a racist.”
Mei thinks, ” It must be because I’m autistic, that’s why she doesn’t want to sit beside me in class.”
Abraham sighs, “She probably believes that because I’m brown, that automatically makes me a terrorist.”
Little do they realize that she’s not bothered by them, but by their food…
…because it could kill her.
