The silent killer. The epidemic that affects millions of people around the world. The underdiagnosed and underreported disease.
It’s a sickness that will take everything from you, if you don’t follow a strict gluten-free diet. It can take your intestines, it can take your lungs, it can take your thyroid, your pancreas, your life and even your mind, if you’re not careful.
In the July edition of the CCA connects emails, it was announced that there will be a Run/Walkathon for Celiac disease, sponsored by Scotiabank. The event takes place on October 21, 2018, in Toronto and allows participants to choose from three different races. Mark the date on your calendar.
Even if you can’t make it to the event, you can still sponsor a participant. More details will come out in a special email that hasn’t been sent out, yet. For more information, please contact the Canadian Celiac Association.
So join me in Toronto in October to walk or run. Help me and help yourself by raising awareness for this widespread sickness. Do your part to help those in need.
